Where You'll Stay

Throughout your experience, you will stay at Caboclos House Ecolodge, a Ribeirinho-founded, women-led jungle hotel located on the shores of Acajatuba Lake, approximately two hours from Manaus.

All accommodations have air conditioning, private bathrooms, and hot showers. The hotel also has a restaurant, swimming pool, hammock area, Zen Space, and shared areas integrated into the surrounding landscape.

The Amazon Changes with the Waters

There is no single best time to visit the Amazon. Each season reveals a different Forest.

HIGH-WATER SEASON | February to August

As the rivers rise, we navigate among the trees through the igapós, the Amazon’s flooded Forest.

DRY SEASON | September to January

As the waters recede, white-sand river beaches emerge along the Rio Negro.

At the peak of the high-water season, which may occur in June, or at the peak of the dry season, particularly in October and November, some experiences may not be possible and will be replaced by suitable alternatives.

FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the 3, 4, and 5-day itineraries?

The 3-day itinerary offers a first experience of the Amazon, bringing together the Forest, rivers, wildlife, and local knowledge. With 4 days, there is more time for hands-on experiences and knowledge connected to life in the Forest. The 5-day itinerary expands the encounters with people, communities, and local initiatives, including cultural and conservation experiences.

Are all experiences available throughout the year?

The Amazon changes significantly throughout the year, and some experiences depend on river levels, weather conditions, and the availability of local attractions and partners. River beaches, the flooded Forest, and certain navigation routes may therefore vary depending on the time of year.

Yes. The itinerary includes round-trip transfers from Manaus to Caboclos House Ecolodge, combining road and boat transportation, at our regular scheduled times.

Are all meals included?

Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included throughout your stay, with meals inspired by Amazonian cuisine and prepared with regional ingredients whenever possible.

Do you offer vegetarian and vegan meals?

Yes. We offer a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options throughout your stay. Please let us know about your dietary preferences when booking so our kitchen team can prepare accordingly.

Do I need to be physically fit to take part in the experiences?

The experiences involve walking, getting on and off boats, and direct contact with natural environments. The level of physical activity varies depending on the experience and Forest conditions.

If you have any specific needs or mobility limitations, please let our team know before booking so we can assess the itinerary together.
